We are Animals.ai, an agtech/impact startup deeply specialized in AI and computer vision for use in agriculture. Our AI technology monitors and collects data about animals in real-time, providing farmers with valuable insights into their animals and herds, empowering them to make informed decisions. As we continue to grow and innovate, we seek a talented Product Design Intern to join our team and help develop cutting-edge hardware solutions to support our mission. We also welcome candidates who are interested in pursuing a thesis project related to our work.

Your responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the R&D and Engineering teams to develop innovative hardware solutions for agriculture applications
• Assist in the design and prototyping of new products, considering factors such as user needs, functionality, reliability, and environmental protection
• Conduct research on materials, manufacturing processes, and design trends to inform product development
• Create and maintain design documentation, including sketches, 3D models, and technical drawings
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our products

Your qualifications:

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360) and design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
• Strong understanding of design principles, manufacturing processes, and materials selection
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in English
• Open to learning by doing in an international environment
