We are seeking a talented Research Intern with a background in animal behavior, veterinary science, or applied data analysis focusing on sustainability (carbon calculation) to join our team and contribute to the exciting research project "AI-based monitoring of dairy cows' feeding to reduce GHG emissions on dairy farms," funded by Vinnova. The research project aims to develop an AI-based monitoring system for dairy cows' feeding behavior to optimize feed efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions on dairy farms. By using AI and computer vision technologies, the project will enable real-time monitoring of individual cow feeding patterns and help farmers make informed decisions on feed management strategies that contribute to a more sustainable dairy production system.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team on the research project
- Analyze and interpret data to uncover patterns and trends that can inform decision-making
- Review and synthesize relevant scientific literature
- Develop research methodologies and assist in data collection
- Prepare research reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Animal Behavior, Veterinary Science, Applied Data Analysis, or a related field with a focus on sustainability
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., R, Python, or MATLAB)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in English
- Open to learning by doing in an international environment
